The use of gas from fracking is highly contentious, but a new technology could offer an environmentally sound alternative from the grass growing under our feet.

Britain's first 'green gas mill' to be built at Sparsholt College in Hampshire, will take grass from nearby fields and break it down in an anaerobic digester to produce methane gas to feed into the national grid.

Red Bull's GRC Rallycross Championship Set to Go Green

The all-action thrills of motorsports don't have to be environmentally unsound – as set to be proven by Red Bull Global Rallycross, which is adding an all-electric class championship to its series, starting in 2018.

While F1 has run on hybrid technology for a while and the FIA already sanctions a street circuit electric vehicle (EV) 'E' race series, this latest initiative could be hugely important in developing every day cars that are clean.

Solar Powered Tuk Tuk Completes Epic Bangalore to London Journey

An adventurous engineer has completed a 10,000 km journey from Bangalore in India to London in an auto-rickshaw he converted to solar power.

Indian born Australian citizen Naveen Rabelli, 35, drove through Iran, Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Austria, Switzerland and Germany without incident, but ended up arriving in the UK five days late when his passport was stolen in Paris and he had to apply for emergency documents.
